System eliminates problematic contact lip seals
The never-wear sealing system, utilized in all Telsmith Vibro-King TL screen
models, eliminates the use of problematic contact lip seals. The design
relies on centrifugal force to cast oil away from the seal area and maintains
an oil tight seal through the life of the screen. An external labyrinth seal
keeps dust particles from entering the assembly and contaminating oil. A
snap-in urethane labyrinth allows quick, inexpensive replacement. Providing
long service hours and low maintenance, the sealing system delivers modern
technology that reduces downtime and operating costs, the company says.

Screen media increases throughput of spec product
Flex-Mat 3 high-performance, self-cleaning screen media from Major Wire
Industries Ltd. helps operations increase production and product quality
while reducing downtime, the company says. Flex-Mat 3’s independently
vibrating wires increase product throughput by up to 40 percent over traditional woven wire or polyurethane panels by eliminating blinding, pegging
and clogging, the company adds. In addition, it has up to 30 percent more
open area than woven wire for up to 30 percent more material throughput.
Properly sized for the application and correctly installed, Flex-Mat 3 increases screening efficiency, resulting in more spec product on the ground for
less cost. Wear life exceeds that of woven wire up to three times because
there are no cross wires with high wear spots as there is with woven wire,
the company notes.
