Specially designed with a rugged frame to provide
improved levels of productivity in the roughest terrain,
the Terex TR70 rigid haul truck enables operators to
move more, faster. The Terex TR70 truck comes standard
with dual-mode retardation, giving the operator a choice
between oil-cooled disc brakes or hydraulic retardation
to accommodate differing conditions. Additionally, all
models have downshift and reverse inhibitors and manual
override in all speeds. A 700-hp engine comes with an
electronic management system for optimal control. The
high-capacity, heavy-duty body on this unit offers a large
target area for easy loading and is constructed of Hardox
450 abrasion-resistant steel to carry payloads from 72
tons with heaped capacity of 54.3 cu. yd.

Various dump configurations available
The Kenworth T800 dump truck features a set-back front
axle to optimize payload potential and maneuverability,
and front and rear PTO options to meet unique application
requirements. Kenworth offers various T800 dump truck
configurations, including the popular T800B Series, T800
short hood, T800 short hood FEPTO (front engine power
takeoff) and T800B twin steer. The T800 is available with
the Kenworth Extended Day Cab option, which provides an
additional 6 in. of length and 5 in. of cab height, up to 21
degrees of recline in the driver’s seat, and extra 2 cu. ft.
of storage behind the driver’s seat. Kenworth has expanded automatic transmission offerings for T800 construction
applications with high horsepower requirements.

Komatsu America Corp.’s HD605-7 rigid dump truck
is designed for improved durability and reliability for
crushed stone, sand and gravel sites. The truck offers
increased productivity and lower fuel consumption, while
providing a safer and more comfortable operator environment, Komatsu says. The HD605-7 features a powerful
turbocharged, air-to-air after-cooled diesel engine that
provides a maximum net output of 715 hp. The truck
meets EPA Tier 3 and EU stage 3A emission regulations,
and its high-performance engine is enhanced with an
advanced cooling system and improved fuel pre-filters.
The truck also features environmentally friendly lead-free
aluminum core radiators.
